3 week holiday travelling around Europe in a bus 18 to 35 year olds
So I had to get from Thetford, Norfolk, UK to Russell Square, London first. By coach and then tube. In my early days of travel I took a massive suitcase and was wasted when I got there. The woman on Contiki reception said so and I managed to mutter that I had come from Victoria. She replied that load of other people had come a lot further i.e. Australia. ?ot carrying a whacking great suitcase all the way, I thought.
One night was spent at the Russell Square hotel, with a view of the BT telecom tower from the window, then off in the morning by coach to the Dover ferry. As I saw the white cliffs of Dover disappear I was not ready for the crossing to follow. It was very choppy and I had to lay on the floor all the way to avoid throwing up. The ferry was on the way to Belgium and Zeebrugge to meet up with the coach. Here two tours were to combine to make a full bus.
Creative Zen Vision M 30gig was my new stereo for a bit. The sound
quality was superb and with higher quality mp3 you would not know the
difference. My whole cd collection fited on it and more. Now I could
take my stereo where I wanted: in the car, at home at the office. I
still have my Sennheiser headphones which I use with the Zen. Only
problem is the harddisk was too small.
Apple ipod classic 2009
On 25 Feb 2009 my Zen departed to a new owner. Sold on Ebay for £72. I
resisted for so long but I now have a Apple ipod Classic 120gb (black).
The Zen HD was full for a long time. In comes the Apple for £170. Sound
quality is good and will be a long time before I fill up the HD. I
thought about a Microsoft Zune 120gb but they just don't seem to get the
support over in the UK. I do miss the FM radio of the Zen …
My laptop Dell Latitude D830 mentioned in the 2013 update is my stereo now, also mentioned in my computers post
am using the Logitech 5.1 Surround Speakers (with the centre channel
speaker disconnected) plugged into the M Audio Fast Track Pro, plugged into the
laptop running itunes. Quadrophonic sound! I have a windows 7 remote control. The laptop sits on a Belkin tray for cooling.
Music wise there is 80 gigs in the itunes library 9000 songs. I have my DJ music too but that is huge and not in the itunes library.
I still have the Sennheiser HD530 II headphones and bought new earpads from hifiheadphones.co.uk
this was my specification with the headphones when I bought them, that I
could replace parts. I'd had a string of expensive Pioneer headphones
until that point that fell apart in a year. True to the salesman's word
10th of June 2015 - My journey from across the Norfolk Broads - Norwich to Reedham (on
road) and on to Great Yarmouth (off road) "Inspirational Cycling" for my
extended writing for my access course.
On the 8th I had cycled to Buckenham Marshes and the road works coming out of Norwich had made it a nightmare. It was better on the 10th but still stressful. Added to that my GPS kept telling me to turn back all the way to Cantley and join the A47. I also thought I had on the wrong coat, there was a biting North wind and I had put on my thick coat, and it was a little too warm.
I love my GPS but unfortunately it is better for hiking and as the crow flies stuff. As a road GPS it things you are in a car and should join the dual carriageway and any opportunity.
I had cycled to Reedham many times and ingnored the GPS, it was only at the Cantley Cock that it came back on my side.
I expected to get a coffee in Reedham, but everything was shut.
